A Guide to Holidays in Corralejo, Fuerteventura

Corralejo lies on the northern coast of Fuerteventura. This one time fishing village is now the biggest resort on Fuerteventura and has some of the best beaches around!

Corralejo is paradise for beach lovers, with a treasure trove of soft velvety sand and aquamarine waters. Corralejo is famous in Fuerteventura for its immense sand dunes blown into shape by the strong sea breezes and forming part of the Corralejo National Park. Aside from the sand dunes, the main beach is Playa Grande which is a huge golden swathe of sand washed by warm waves and stroked by the sun, an Eden of a beach. Windsurfers will love the waters of Corralejo because they offer up perfect conditions so if you feel adventurous, give it a go!

Despite being the biggest resort on Fuerteventura, Corralejo is a laid-back resort but there are still plenty of things to do to keep you occupied! The old fishing port and the marina are good for sight-seeing and there are many arts and crafts shops along the way to browse in. Not to far away is the Atlantico Shopping Centra and a water park for when you become bored with the oceans lack of slides! Boat trips are available from the marina to the small volcanic island of Lobos so you can sight-see and relax on yet another beach! Corralejo isn’t a big party town but there are many fine restaurants, bars and discos where you can relax with a glass of sangria and compare suntans!

As an added bonus Los Alisios is only a short walk from the beach! No matter what hotel you book in Corralejo you’re sure to have a good time. The hotels in Corralejo all have excellent facilities and a lot of the hotels are at least three stars so you’re guaranteed quality! The hotels all have excellent night time entertainment programmes too so from morning till night, you’ll be having a good time in Corralejo!
